I have a picky eater, so I spend a lot of time experimenting in the kitchen and creating new recipes.  She loves bread so most of the foods I make for her are made with whole wheat (or corn) flour, eggs, and kefir/yogurt.  This morning I didn’t feel like spending too much time in the kitchen so I decided to make these breadsticks.  They’re soft, delicious and really easy to make. You can serve them with cream cheese, sour cream, plain yogurt or kefir, or jam/peanut butter/Nutella. Enjoy!

all purpose flour (1.5 cup)

plain kefir or plain yogurt (1 cup)

eggs (1-2)

baking powder (1 tsp)

Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl. Once mixed, turn dough out onto a floured surface. Add more flour as needed and knead until dough is smooth and elastic. Don’t add too much extra flour because that will make your bread too dry and dense.

Using a rolling pin roll out your dough to your desired thickness (approximately 1 cm). Cut it into strips or circles (using a small cup) and bake (or fry) until golden brown.
